About me:
Hi, my name is Anya!
I am an avid yoga student and practitioner. I base my practice on Hatha yoga principles and build on them by incorporating elements of Ashtanga and Vinyasa as well as strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, myofascial release and neurology of movement.
I am on constant hunt for knowledge that can help me and my students improve their practice, become stronger and more resilient and overall happier human beings ( unless you are an alien, but that’s ok too, because yoga is all inclusive ;))
My lifetime romance with yoga began in NYC and solidified in Rishikesh India where I completed my 200YTT, guided by Yogi Dinesh Chander Ji ( disciple of Swami Yogananda )
Building a strong foundation for your practice is essential to feel good, live without pain and feel free & strong in our own body. Your body is not a machine, it is an eco system where everything is interconnected. Yoga helps to understand the relationship between different part of your body, your brain and your nervous system via exploration of the brain body connection established through safe and consistent practice.

I have a love hate relationship with yoga. I am trail runner and I know yoga can do the world of good for me. It is hard to make it a daily routine though. I started doing private classes with Anya a year ago and what a difference it has made! Her tailored yoga practice is a great mix of strength and flexibility flow, deep breathing and relaxation. I love our sessions filled with deep conversations, love and great energy. I Have never felt more in-tune with my body. And slowly but surely I am becoming stronger and more flexible.
